Mass Effect

Mass Effect has become an iconic series in gaming history thanks to its story, action RPG elements and the ability to craft your own path in a galactic battle. The first game received its fair share of criticism due to questionable gameplay decisions that have been modified in the recent Legendary edition, which also includes the sequels with all their DLC. Is Mass Effect 1 worth playing now? Absolutely, and we share our impressions on this episode, as well as talk about the future of A Cast to the Past!

Where will GTA6 be located if it ever actually happens? Some would love a modern take on Vice City, while others wouldn’t mind another visit to Liberty City. GTA3 was a landmark game that laid the foundation for future titles, but is it still worth playing? We reviewed this classic back in 2018, but after recently playing Vice City we thought it would be interesting to re-listen to our older episode and provide a fresh perspective on our own opinions. Do we agree with ourselves!? Enjoy this GTA3 remixed review on A Cast to the Past!

The Legend of Zelda is one of the greatest game series of all time, but its timeline can be confusing as each game adds more elements to the overall story. Is there more than one Link? Are all of the games canonical part of the primary storyline? We put Ryan’s Zelda knowledge to the test as he does his best to explain all of this in another episode of A Cast to the Past.

E3 used to be a staple of the gaming industry. As consumers we would put our lives on pause to sit back and consume everything the show had to offer. But these days, it feels a little...different? Do events like this need to exist anymore when we have things like Nintendo Direct and Sony's State of Play? We talk about this and more on another edition of A Cast to The Past!

In 1999, Nintendo published Pokémon Snap on the Nintendo 64. A game where instead of fighting monsters, you took pictures of ‘em! It seemed like a bad idea on paper, but we grew to love this title.
